Chris, Our corporate-generated "culture" requires constant replacement of former products with newer ones in order to sustain itself. Newer is always better for the corporations because more sales are produced, but it is not always better for product users. What else can home computers do to make themselves "better" besides become faster and do more fancy tricks plus hundreds of things that that almost nobody will actually use? There is nothing wrong with capitalism as practiced by resonable persons, but corporatism is a whole different animal, and I see that as the problem. The Europeans are somewhat less taken in by corporatism, and maybe that is why iCab is being developed in Germany to be a fully modern browser for OS 9 and higher versions of OS 8. These operating systems are just fine for pedestrian users like most people (like me) who use computers as mere information boxes. I also use Graphic Converter, which has also recently been updated for OS 9. I believe that this is a Dutch product. If you want to stay in the slow lane, download iCab 2.9.8.
