I've been hearing this rumor for years now. I find it hard to believe they'd dump the powerpc line for intel. Think of all the software that would no longer work. Thousands of third party and shareware programs would choke. That's a much bigger move than it was from 68K to PPC and look how traumatic that was and how long it took. And why? The move from 68K was forced by Motorola but IBM is just getting started good with the Power line. I just don't see it happening.
