Well Doug I want to thank you for the information you provided, but right after I sent the e-mail to the list requesting information on my problem the monitor up and died, this was connected to my 400mhz PwrMacG4 Sawtooth with 701mb of ram 80 gig WD ide hard drive 64mb vram running OS X.3.9. So my question was answered instantly.
