XPF is the answer to go (all the way to Tiger, IIRC). Warning: Tiger may be a 'tad' slow on the Beige machine. I have Panther running on a Beige running @ 367 MHz with 288 MB RAM and a 18 GB IDE Hard Drive. It works satisfactorily. It's no speed demon, of course, but for the usual tasks of word processing, music listening and internet browsing, it's fine.

Hi all

Can anyone tell me what the highest version of OS X that can be run on a Beige G3 (267 Mhz, 768 Mb RAM, 40 Gb HDD). I am currently running 10.2.8, and have copies of Tiger and Panther, as the Apple Store says that you can run Tiger on a PowerMac G3, but I have tried to load Panther onto my 400Mhz iMac, and it says that it cannot be loaded onto that machine.

Do I need XPostFacto, or what?
