Thanks Jo, I am downloading as we speak. I understand that the
little socket is the external speaker one (hmm, another little
wanky idiosyncrasy from Apple, what was so wrong with the more
robust and "normal" one in the Legacy PCI Macs that they had to
go all cute and precious? It's alright, you don't need to answer
this. I am just miffed at the dropping of so much that was good
in the old hardware (no power button on keyboards, no CD tray
buttons on the towers and so on...) Never mind grumpy old stick
in the muds like me. I am adapting and still waiting for the day
I can say, "Hey, now I am able to do things I could not do
before..."

Grump, grump... Do try to tolerate me a while longer, I'll try
not to whinge too much!
