Received my U-Storage 5.25'' USB 2.0/Firewire enclosure from Computer Geeks today.
Details at: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=U-STORAGE-1981&cat=CAS When I put a Pioneer DVR-110D into the enclosure and plug it into my B & W (OS 10.3.9) the DVR-110D would not mount CD's. System profiler listed a "FireWire Device" with no specifics about the DVR-100D. Same thing happened when I plugged it into my G4 Sawtooth. The DVR-110D jumper is set to Master (also tried Cable Select). The CD that came with the enclosure has no Mac drivers. Yet the product requirements for the Mac (see above link) says "CD-ROM drive for driver installation" I've Goggled for Mac drivers and searched the xlr8yourmac database for more info. Is there any way to made this combo work to read/write CD's and DVD's? --glen -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
