I never used XPostfacto on my Beige. It  had the stock hard drive
so I never had the problem with the 8 gig limit and file corruption that 
a lot of people had. It did have a USB and a FireWire PCI card 
installed. As far as having OS 9 onboard it would just act weird and 
lock up at random, but once I removed OS 9 the problems all disappeared 
and it was stable. Trying to go beyond OS X.2.6 yielded a black screen 
for me which is what currently happens on my Lombard. But I believe the 
Lombard merely needs more ram and a larger hard drive. This might have 
been the issue with the Beige, that it needed more room for the OS. But 
I never pursued it because I came across a good deal on a B&W then came 
across a better deal on a Sawtooth. Both of these are running smoothly.
