My point is that 'Tiger' isn't supported on Lombards, but someone (our hero), found a way to trick it by installing the OS while the drive is connected to a supported machine. Then you put the "non- supported" OS drive back in the Lombard and WALA! No XPF needed.

Why can't the same method be used on a Beige, also unsupported? I've got a bare drive on my AGP with Tiger installed, so I will go ahead and plug it into an unused Beige in the spare room and see how it goes and get back with the results.

Tyler, if it works, you would want to find someone with a newer Mac not older one. Not sure that's any easier a task, but clearly there must be other Mac users down there, somewhere... Dave

Quite clear I would say: A Lombard supports 10.3.9 and a Beige only 10.2.6/8
For more you'll need XPF. Point.
