I doubt thats true. I planned on using my Sawtooth for that many years.
But since I damaged it, Im getting a QuickSilver. So, now I plan on using
that for several more years. Then I think I want a G5 Quad (though
realistically I see myself getting like a dual 2GHz G5 in 3 years).
Unless an Intel Mac can be bought for the same price as an "old G5" and
have at least equal performance, I think a lot of people will be sticking to
PPC. That is, until some of the latest software that you really need or want
to
run is available only to Intel users.
