The Rage isn't even supported in Tiger or Leopard, look in  
Console>System.log and you'll see some warnings.

The Radeon enables Quartz Extreme, which increases some graphics  
functions by exponential magnitudes in speed.

Both cards cost about the same, so it's hard to see what criteria  
you're using to prefer the Rage as "better choice"?
