Yes, Apple Partitioning Scheme (in Tiger, one down from the GUID)
with Mac OS Extended (Journaled) for all partitions. The Tiger OS one
isn't the first partition, and it is 20GB (i.e. > 8GB) ... but that
restriction was probably for another issue I can't recall at present ...

I'll continue to research the problem. I was reading about
overclocking and they mention a couple of different mobos used for
the G3/G4 "transition" through PCI Graphics to the Sawtooth ... mine
is a G4/400 associated one ...

Sounds like an interesting avenue to pursue my research ...
thanks ... Xpostfacto 4 to the rescue ...

Well ... off topic ... to protect the honor of USB cards on a Mac ...
(???) ... the Adaptec AUA-3020-A Duoconnect has a 12v 4pin plug. I
plan to use that to run a light to the Yikes! PCI Graphics wonderful
Apple logo just above the DVD ROM. That should shed some light on
something ... know of any good sources for leds? I'm looking for one
that runs through the colors of the rainbow for some reason ...

I'm eventually taking the FW drive back to my QS ... so I'll see if
they show up there. It should boot while hooked up to the QS. Maybe
that will restore the icons ...

It has a utility that allegedly adjusts the speed of an external FW
connection ... curious what that was about ... I thought it mentioned
booting as well ...

The Time Machine partition is for when I return the drive to the
Leopard QS ... I will also keep the PCI Graphics backup partitions,
and perhaps use CCC 3.1.2 over my network to maintain a backup for
that machine as well. I won't use Time Machine to backup the PCI
Graphics backup partitions, just my work on my QS. I think they will
mix ok ... although CCC 3.1.2 has one copy option that prohibits
using a Time Machine backup disk ... I think its the whole disk copy
option ...

Presently ...

I'm finishing restoring (CCC copying) my backup to my resized
partitions on my PCI Graphics machine ... and will report timings for
those interested in the new CCC 3.1.2 later this evening.

Thanks LEM Folks!
