I got my G4 733 mHz Quicksilver in early 2002 when they stopped  
making it for $1399.

It is still going strong for the most part, and hasn't needed out of  
warranty repairs,
all I have shelled out has been for 2 OS upgrades, Jaguar and Tiger.

So ... do the math. This is one affordable machine. I think it can go  
3 more years at least.
