Onboard ethernet got zapped a year ago. Used a USB Wireless for
awhile. Then moved to my NIC a month ago. One USB port in the back of
the QS is a bit loose, but seems to hold its own for now. All USB/FW
onboard ports are working. I needed extras for other devices,
currently not connected.

Anything I might do to remove any dependence on trying to startup the
onboard ethernet?

I'm able to go into IONetworkingFamily.kext and remove the
Plugin(s) ... well with some refresher help.

The Rosewill NIC uses the Realtek 8169 plugin supplied by Apple.

I experimented with the other M-Audio card being alone, and in a
different slot. Same behavior, IIRC.

Thanks.

Just replaced the PRAM Battery (had a new one lying close by), and did
the CUDA (although I think removing the battery does that too?)

First Startup and the M-Audio driver didn't load.

AppleJack is next.
