And Apple has been saying to get away from AppleTalk for years
now. So we've been warned.

A couple of years ago I got a new WiFi router. One day I happened to
pull up something that scanned AppleTalk on my laptop. I was
surprised to find it was showing several machines on the network. I
didn't know this router (a Motorola) supported AppleTalk wirelessly,
it didn't mention it at all anywhere in the manual. It didn't matter
though, there is nothing I need to do with my laptop that requires
AppleTalk.

I do have some machines running OS 9 or earlier but even they don't
make much use of AT. And frankly I don't use them often.
