If by "NewerTech v2.5" you mean the OWC miniStack Hard Drive Enclosure Kit, it is more than "reportedly has issues with the larger drive." OWC warns clearly in a Special Note for the enclosure: "Currently, Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB hard drives are not recommended for use in Newer Technology FireWire enclosures due to a firmware problem with the drive and the enclosure." <http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/FWU2MSVS2/> If you have not done so already, a quick Google search about "Seagate Barracuda 702.11 drives" will provide interesting reading. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
