OS 9 needs to be installed BEFORE OSX. Wipe the drive, boot from the 9 installer, and install 9. Then re-boot from the OSX installer and install OSX OVER 9. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
