U know what? i never thought about that. I do have a usb 2.0 card.
Would i have to get another card if thats whats causing it to not go
to sleep? How would i check the activity monitor to see if thats the
cause if its supposed to be asleep? When it doesnt sleep the monitor
is asleep but the computer is not.

Any third part PCI cards like a USB2.0 card installed at all ?
Depending on the card , they can cause sleep issues but this should
have become apparent after you installed it.
You can also have a look in your activity monitor to see if anything
is still chugging away in the background while the computer is
apparently idle.
