What I do have is a USB 2.0 card and a WD My book attached to it. Also
I have a usb hub connected to the card but nothing is ever connected
to it while I put the computer to sleep. How would I find out if my
card supports sleep or not? I can MANUALLY put my G4 to sleep but it
will not sleep automatically. Thanks so far for all the advice
knowledge and tips. This is going a lot better than I thought it
would!!!!!!

You know, my DA Dual 533 and QS Dual 1GHz will actually turn on if
the power has been disconnected and, just being plugged into the
strip, the strip is turned on. No pushing of the power button on the
tower.
Also my DA will Wake from Sleep when I turn on/off an attached USB
printer (attached to the onboard USB).
My QS has an M-Audio 2496 audio card that does not support Sleep ...
so I cannot Sleep that machine. It will power up though, if I turn
on my attached Yamaha motif ES8 keyboard.
Any USB devices attached to your Macs?
