I've got a Tripp-Lite model that I've replaced the battery in twice now. I didn't really keep records, though I suppose I might be able to find when I paid for the batteries, but think they have lasted 2 to 3 years each. Of course, both times, I didn't know the battery had failed till we had a power outage and the UPS didn't work. Each time, I found a battery on eBay, replaced the battery (one screw to open the case, slide battery out disconnect two color coded leads, then reverse to install) and was back in use. The APC models I've had didn't seem as easy to get into, so I've never replaced a battery in one of those.
