I've had good luck with APC units, both at work and at home. just need to replace the battery every 3 years or so. The three I have at home are older units 8-10 years old or so and I've been using el cheepo batteries I find on the internet. I have found regardless of brand of UPS Battery, when you get a string of power outages and/or you run it until it dies just replace the battery. happened to one at work, randomly shut off when there was even a little dip in power, eventually it would not turn on at all. new battery and it was all better.
