It's probably gone now, but this Mac should use RAM that's really cheap now
used. The difference between 9.2.2 and 10.4.11 like the difference between
walking a rocky trail where you trip on your face from time-to-time and driving
on a paved street where you may need to stop for gas periodically. If this is
for an older person that doesn't know much Mac stuff, OS X is the better option
simply because of the stability in my opinion.

Yeah I second that, Tiger is much easier to keep up, but I still remember the
kicking and screaming along the route away from my OS 9.
Now I only boot it because I have a CAD/CAM that requires Dongle that only runs
booted in 7,8,9.

I loaded linux on her G4 but I couldn't interest in her in Gnome. No Chris's Puzzle.

What versions of OSX allow running Classis Mac applications and is there a GUI
*very* similar to OS9?
