A very articulate and fully comprehensible rant, Chance. I fully relate. I love iOS --on my iPod Touch. It makes it a nice toy AND a useful tool, and it looks plain cool. (Even there, the whole App Store concept gets on my nerves. I don't like the concept of having just ONE place where to check and buy my apps. It's unnerving.) But I don't want a whole computer like that. The new iTunes icon was for me a sign of times to come --an ominous one. And the mounting integration of iTunes and the Apple Store is getting more Big Brotherly with each iteration. Anyway, I want my computers for work and play --but work plays a significant role here. I don't want an overpriced, overblown Apple TV --a device I have never seen the point of. And apparently the whole hardware/software integration that has been one of Apple's strengths since day one is being taken to a whole new level that I don't quite like... -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
