Yes! Jungle Hunt! That's another one I have. Actually the last level of
Hunter kinda reminded me of the first level of Jungle Hunt. It would've been
exactly the same except for the waterfall. Jungle Hunt didn't have a
waterfall. But Adventure was still one of my favorites. I've always liked
RPG type games like the Legend of Zelda series, and Adventure is widely
believed to be the precursor to those types of games. For those unfamiliar
with the game, you had three castles to explore, each with a resident
dragon. You had to find one key for each castle and a special sword for
killing the dragons. The idea was to get to one castle in particular,
recover the stolen chalice and return it to the first castle. On higher
difficulties there was a bat who would periodically fly by and steal
whatever item you had (you could only carry one at a time), and replace it
with another one. This usually happened right as you were about to enter a
castle. You had the proper key and then all of a sudden the bat would be
there, steal that key and replace it either with one of the other keys or
the sword. The fact that there wasn't a whole lot you could do about the bat
other than to try to wait for it to come by again and swap you for the right
key, it added to the challenge. Then of course there were the three dragons
who would roast you on sight, especially if you didn't have the sword. Oddly
enough, after the dragon got you you could move around in its belly. But the
coolest part was that if you killed a dragon and had to leave your sword in
order to get a key, you could leave the sword in the dragon's body and
they'd both still be there if and when you came back that way.

It ain't pretty when the pretty leaves you with no place to go.
