Simply because even though it may not have all the bells and whistles of 
what current games could it's still a first or a fond memory to play.
  Somewhere along the line I missed Monty entirely with the Atari.  But you 
can bet I'd have loads of fun playing some of the older type games.  I think 
Tom's decision to keep the original was the correct one, since that is what 
many people wanted.  At a future time it is good to see he will be working 
on more of a Tomb Raider styled game in 3d.
  Finally for some gamers here they have never played these games.

That is what I am talking about. No games are out there for 3d games? None!

How can that be bad? It can't be. It is going or would be awesome. Instead
of getting to the 21st century we choose over and over again to stay in the
past.
