Hi josh, Well, that is not necessarily true though. I am a dedicated Linux user, and have tried Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 all in virtual machines and the truth is that not all run equally well in a virtual machine. XP requires a lot less resources than does Windows 7 so its not difficult to get XP to run decently in a virtual machine. However, Windows Vista and Windows 7 have that 3d Windows Arrow interface that is a CPU and memory hog, and really needs direct access to your graphics hardware rather than have it emulated virtually. As a result it doesn't seem to matter what OS is the host OS Windows 7 runs very poorly in virtual machines do to the higher than usual hardware specifications. Point being don't judge virtual machines on the basis of say how well XP runs on Linux in VMWare Player and assume Vista and Windows 7 run equally well because they don't.
