Interesting.

I didn't know much about original Quake at all. Some of my friends and my brother in 19998-2000 were quake fans, but they only talked about the death matches and of course being 3D I couldn't play it myself even if there had been a workable pc version anyway, so I really don't know about the single player game at all other than when I tried with audio quake it didn't work very well.

Sinse audio quake does obviously work in designed levels, I'd be interested to see if perhaps some sort of accessible version based on the original game were possible in sound. Then again I don't know what single player options might have been added sinse it was quite a while ago that I played the game.
