Not necessarily. Version 0.3.01 stable is more than stable enough for
a person to play and that build is about a year old. A person would
only need to build from source if they wanted the absolutely latest
updates from the experimental/development branch. However, it isn't
necessary for an average user such as yourself to build from source
since the stable builds are good enough for play as is.
To be honest I'm not sure what your issue is here, but Audio Quake is
still being maintained on a part time basis. Sure, its not like they
are releasing new builds every month, but surely the fact they have
submitted changes to the source in the last month should indicate to
you that it is not in fact being forgotten about and abandoned. Your
statement a few posts back about it not having been updated in years
was patently false, and I felt it necessary to point out that Matthew
and others are still maintaining it when they can.
