I don't recall the comment you are talking about Stephen King making
in It, but in any case it is quite accurate. Things are always much
worse when imagined than seen.

As for the grues while other games have borrowed the concept they have
not stuck to the original concept Infocom originally created so in my
opinion those other grues are only grues in name only. They are
different creatures and belong to their individual universes. The only
true grue in my opinion that are grues are those in the Infocom text
adventures as a whole not just Zork.
