Hi Dark, Yeah, I know what you mean. When the Grue was mysterious you could imagine anything you wanted to. However, when Infocom decided to start describing them and even offered a drawing in some of their later guides it kind of ruined the experience of having something mysterious and unknown around in the dark. Even worse the description of the grues wasn't quite as scary as what I could imagine myself.
