Hi Tom, You are correct in that Sarah is a 2 d game but I simulate a third dimension by removing Sarah's footstep sounds and adding a wind sound when she is on a broom. I also set a variable for those non flying creatures like the caretaker, troll and goblin to be totally passive, and so they would not attack or get in the way of Sarah. Technically Sarah walks right through the other character so you get the sonic experience of going right through the other character's head. The targeting of spells is based on 2 d directions assuming that Sarah would not aim too low or high. I also have broom and bike variables that tell the game that Sarah is not on the floor. So these variables have to be on to open trap doors in the ceiling. Phil
