Hi Sean, What do you mean by Microsoft is no longer supporting Managed DirectX? Where did you hear or read that information? I certainly haven't heard anything about this until I read your post. I just checked the latest runtime setup and all the managed libraries are there, and they are all up to date builds. I see no evidence at least from my end that they have dropped managed support. I do know that the new development kit requires Visual Studio 2005 or higher, .Net Framework2.0 or higher, and the managed source code samples have been removed from this SDK, but that is not necessarily out right dropping support for managed DirectX. By the way, there are some things that have been officially dropped in the november release such as Direct Music all versions, Direct Play all versions, and several DirectX 8 libs have been pulled from the official release. Anyway, if you can send me a link for a web page, an official email, etc that outlines exactly the who, what, when, why, and how the managed dll files will be dropped I'll be able to answer the question of what next.
