Hi Davy,
Personally, I would still use DirectSound 9, and wait for Microsoft to
get the bugs worked out of XAudio, Xac, and XInput. The technologies are
new, primarily for XBox developers, and many of the bug fixes between
Auggust 2007 and November 2007 relate directly to those libraries so
they are not what ai would consider production quality yet. Think about
it a moment. DirectInput, DirectSound, etc are at version 9 and the XBox
libraries is at version 2. Hmmm... Which one is likely to be the more
stable choice here?
I think as far as USA Games is conserned, now that I got the bomb shell
of MDX going south, I will convert my code to support the DirectX 9 com
components.
