Hi kuvvosh,
Yes, you can have one large world, but I'd recommend breaking it up into 
sound regions so that the environmental effects, enemies, could share 
sound buffers and would allow for more items in that world.
However, if you wanted to you could creat the entire world as area 1, 
and you would here everything on the world, and be limited to the 
maximum amount of sound buffers the engine will eventually support.
As for percentages that is difficult to figure. At this moment I am 
still working on the shared dll which contains the code necessary for 
creating the worlds, characters, etc.
