elementalism actually sees quite a lot of use, it all depends upon the adventure. You can acquire all the powers in the game in various ways, sometimes as rewards for adventures, or you can buy them from the greycircle in Talinus using xp (more xp depending upon how many powers you have), or when you've done the appropriate adventures,if you've got an Adventurer's guild subscription, you can go to the Adventurer's collective in Trythic and buy powers (and skills), with gold and adventurer' tocans.
