Hi Geremy, Actually, you don't put items in back packs. The only thing back packs do is increase your encumberence rating which controls how many items you can carry at one time. So if you have a couple back packs you can carry quite allot of stuff in your inventory. Also if you have not done so buying a house is another great thing to do. You can stash extra weapons, items, etc you don't think you need right away there. If you later decide you don't want or need them you can take them to a market and sell it all off for gold coins to buy better equipment. Some markets pay better than others for certain items though.
