Hi Tom, Exactly. If a screen reader were ever to be developed it would have to be done specifically by Sony. Screen readers by nature rely on some pretty core parts of the operating system, and even if a developer got the PSP development kit for games that would only give you the stuff needed for games. Not for really low level operating system dependant stuff. Then, there is the matter of games themselves. A lot of non-developers do not realise this but games don't display standard text to the screen. Most of the time text is displayed through graphics or is drawn through some graphics means in order to get really cooll, non-standard, text. Stuff that screen readers freak out when they encounter. For example, ever installed a PC game like Star wars and found the menus don't talk? That is because Jaws sees it as graphics not text. they don't fit any sort of faunt, standard text, etc it is use to seeing. The text really is just graphics piped through the vidio card in most cases.
