Can someone give me tips on making this accessible?! I've wanted
to play this for YEARS but haven't been able to figure out the
interace!

ok guys, get the version 0.9.6 of pokemon netbattle here:

and the version 0.9.7 get here:

to play, install the 0.9.6, get the 0.9.7, and put the .exe file
in the folder
c:\program files\netbattle and click yes to replace
there are instructions in english and portuguese in the txt
version, so
don't worry if you see any strange names in these .txt files.
and almost all of the functional servers are portuguese and they
for you
logic will have a strange name, but don't worry, try asking in
the
channel tow, if anyone talk english, i'm almost sure someone will
do.
and oh my god, searching on the servers instead of pokemon i
found a
casino game, that is playable with the client, strange!!!

You don't raise your pokemon, you just build a team, picking your
pokemon's
levels, attacks, evolutions etc. Then you connect to a server
and find
another trainer to battle. Its not really an rpg per say, just a
competition
game to see who can build the best team. But its still pretty
fun for what
its worth. It'd be cool if someone would be willing to host a
regular server
for battles, the public netbattle server went down a long time
ago.

I've never seen a good pokemon RPG. The closest thing to an
online
pokemon
battle game I had fun with was Netbattle, where you could
connect to a
server or host your own, make a team of pokemon and battle it
out with
one
of your friends. It was a bit tough to adapt to but it was
accessible and
fun. Don't know that its still aroudn though and don't know the
url.

Hi
So, here I am, I started playing this game at:

Its quite rediculous, really. For anyone that knows anything
about
pokemon, level 4 pokemon, no matter what kind, cannot learn
hyper beam.
I
mean yeah if your crazy enough to use a tm on one. So, my
charmander
kept
getting demolished by these pokemon using crazy attacks. Not to
mention,
how exactly are you supposed to battle and make money, and catch
pokemon
and what not? How do you get to each town? Those are just a few
of my
questions.
Someone said this game was great - it is to a point until the
novelty
wears off and it gets so confusing that I had to wait a few
hours before
I
tried again.
So you register, pick your starter pokemon. There is no help at
all to
be
found here. I can battle a trainer, yay. Then, suddenly, out
of nowhere,
it says a wild pokemon appears! So, I start fighting. This
pokemon is
level 4, the same as mine. It uses icebeam. Seriously...it can
use ice
beam, flame thrower, surf, and tackle. Hows that for
randomness? Then, I
look at my pokemons attacks. Know what it had? Flamethrower,
watergun,
tackle, and scratch!
That's when I gave up on it. Maybe someone else here
understands it more
than i do.
