Lol. Interesting take on things dark. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of dark Sent: 24 February 2011 09:17 To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Game abbreviations...
The one that always amuses me is sod for shades of doom, sinse in england (particularly in the midlands), sod is a mild swearword and something my mum says if she spills her coffee ;d. That's personally why I always use shades instead if I want to talk about the game more briefly. Mota is also amusing because with the way I have orphius set and the way I naturally speak it comes out exactly like motor, ---- so if I didn't know better I might think tom's working on raceway already ;D. Beware the grue! Dark. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thomas Ward" <[email protected]> To: "Gamers Discussion list" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2011 2:40 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Game abbreviations... > Hi Michael, > > If you have a problem with someone using an abreviation, nickname, etc > for something you should try and be more constructive about it. > Instead of throwing a fit, as you did below, it is much more > reasonable to say, "I don't know what RSW is, and have someone explain > it to you." > > After all, those of us who have been on the list quite a while have > gotten use to nicknames, abreviations, for lots of games like SOD for > Shades of Doom, GTC for Tank Commander, LW for Lone Wolf, MOTA for > Mysteries of the Ancients, etc. So if you need clarification all you > have to do is ask nicely, and someone will tell you what you want to > know.
