That one does make sense. If blades shot out from a wall and you ran right into them one blade could basically impale you through the chest. And jumping over them... well, that depends on how high the blades were placed in the area. Supposing they're placed about neck-height, either way you get scured. Run into it and your head gets lopped off. Try and jump and assuming you don't have some inhuman ability to leap up six feet in the air, you'll probably get impaled through the chest or stomach.. or heaven forbid around the waistline along an area that knives and blades should never come close to touching.
