Hi Kelly.

Firstly pa, is how many strokes you get to complete the hole in, the more you can stay under this the better.

For instance, if a hole's pa is 5 strokes, you will get a birdy if your one under, an eagle two under and a double eagle three under.

At the end when you've played all 18 holes your pa, ie, how many strokes you've used over all 18 is compared to the total over all holes, and if your under, well you've succeeded.

if your under by a good amount, then your score is good.

just play a couple of courses in Jim's golf game and you'll quickly get an idea of what pa is and how it works.

As to difficulty yes, the higher the number the more difficult to keep the ball streight, and the more likely it'll e to head off the fareway.

I must admit in the course I made, I rather over estimated the difficulty value so some of the holes ended up a lot more tricky than I planned, (I wanted the course hard, but probably not that! hard), but now at least I know for next time.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.

Subject: [Audyssey] A Couple Questions Regarding Golf

Hi,

I just created a course using the Golf Course Maker program included with Jim Kitchen's Golf game, but am not sure about a couple things. When creating a hole for the course, I'm asked to select the Par, from 3 to 6. Could someone please explain what Par is? Also, when selecting a difficulty, does that mean the higher the number, the more difficult it is to get a good shot, such as a hole in one? Finally, at the end of a game, I was told I had zero awful shots. That's great, but now I'm curious. How do you get an awful shot?

Thanks.

Yours Sincerely,
Kelly John Sapergia
