Hi Jim, Well, if I'm editing sounds and music I usually put the sounds in c:\Users\Thomas\Edit which is in my local home directory. As I said before all I have to do is open theStart Menu, arrow to Edit, and there is all of my sound files. To open One in Goldwave all I have to do is find the file I want, press the Context Menu key, and arrow to open with Goldwave. So its not like the files are a billion layers deep, and since I open the files directly from Explorer I don't have to open Goldwave, press control+o, and type the full path into the open dialog. Besides even if I did use the open dialog Goldwave remembers which directory was open last so it defaults to c:\Users\Thomas\Edit anyway. So all I need do is type the file name and Goldwave will open it from the default location.
Of course, I could edit the files from the flash drive directly. As I mentioned in a prior message I use flash drives for a lot of day to day work, so for me I could do e:\Edit\File.wav and open the file from the flash drive rather than storing it on my c: drive which is as easy as what you do now.
