Hi, Just to add more information as my problem is now solved (I think so). My issue was that my firewall was not letting through the UPD packets sent by the gmond. So I had to change the machine's firewall. For my Fedora Core 8 distro, I have added the following lines to my /etc/sysconfig/iptables file: -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m udp -p udp --dport 8649:8652 -j ACCEPT -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 8649:8652 -j ACCEPT The same file mentions that this file should not be edited by hand. Does someone know the way to do it officially (ie through some command-line tool)? Regards Igor
