There doesn't seem to be any dealers in the US. How much does the unit cost approx. in USD? William

I can remember when Stirling engines became available built into generator sets in Europe, (ex Dutch Army?) and everyone wanted to stick gasifiers on them. The point is, Military driven R+D can bring out the potential of any technology, but at costs few companies could afford without the contracts. Today, I made a purchase of a new compact plasma cutting /welding machine that uses only water and alcohol (methylated spirits) that originated in Russia for the Military. It cuts up to 10mm plate of any metal, and can weld the same if the need arises. It replaces oxy/acetylene but draws 3.5kWe flat out, and would be ideal for remote workshop applications. Check it out at WWW.MULTIPLAZ.CO.NZ it's one of the most amazing metal working tools you can stick into a single phase power socket. Haven't figured out what I will want to use it for as yet, but at least now I can work with any metal, instead of just steel. Hope you find this of interest.
