Hi William,

You ask:

>There doesn't seem to be any dealers in the US.
>How much does the unit cost approx. in USD?

Experience tells me that market costs are set for each country, plus tax, so
we may be cheaper or more expensive than which a local supplier might charge.
The basic cost without any tax, converts to US$ 2,300. It is not cheap by my
standards, but would soon be recovered if used to replace gas cylinders usually
associated with the types of welding possible.

As these things are sold through country Franchise, my guess is that the US
market has hefty fees attached to the direct dealers, possibly slowing down
their distribution. You could of course pay the extra and freight one in from
New Zealand, but you would need to be desperate. Alternately, get a tourist to
bring one home for you, and they can buy it without tax at this end.

Doug Williams,
Fluidyne.
