In my case, I will be leaving my GB on all the time. Therefore, I should have a good 
chance of keeping my same IP, right? Anyone know why my DHCP assigned IP changed to be 
my EXT alias since I added it. Remember, I was being assigned a different IP 
originally. Thanks for all the quick replies!

Do you shut down your GNAT Box when you are not using your
Internet connection, or do you leave it running all the time?

My experience (and what I've heard from others) is that most
of the Cable Modem providers have DHCP servers that are pretty
good about giving you back the address you had previously, as
long as your GNAT Box asks for it before someone else gets it.
The result is that if you leave your GNAT Box booted all the
time, you have the next closest thing to a static IP.

Of course, given that I am on AT&T and you are on Cox, YMMV.
