Hmmm.... Maybe the B cards are the reason that my GB2.2.0 is complaining
about spoofing. I'm using 3-3c905b cards in a Micron ClientPro Vxe,
Pentium, 64M. I get spoofing alarms several times a day (EXT network)
that make it seem as though someone is trying to hack through. They
occur randomly, and the addresses in the spoofing alarms do not exist on
our networks (PRO, PSN, and EXT) - believe me, I've checked. The
addresses in the spoof alarms are close to the class/address of the LAN
(some more so than others), but they are never valid addresses. I've
been suspecting that the 3c905 driver in GB does not like the 3c905b
cards for some time now.

It's time to upgrade to 3.0 anyway.....

I have not tried it personally (with 2.2x) but I can tell you that the
chip set is vastly different between the two cards. Based on my
experience with using both versions in Linux (RedHat), I would say that
unless there is a specific drive in 3.x for the B cards (and I think
there is -- please comment Paul or anyone else) that the B card will not
work.
