I have not tried it personally (with 2.2x) but I can tell you that the chip set is 
vastly different between the two cards.  Based on my experience with using both 
versions in Linux (RedHat), I would say that unless there is a specific drive in 3.x 
for the B cards (and I think there is -- please comment Paul or anyone else) that the 
B card will not work.
