I can't get it to work either – neither in Safari nor in Firefox. It is installed in both browsers. I am able to see "Google Gears Settings" but it won't fire up when I visit any compatible Google Gears websites (i.e. Google Reader, Gmail...)
I get this message from the console: Safari[228] Unable to apply patch to CFNetwork version 339.5 I am not sure if that has got something to do with the matter. I tried reinstalling Safari. Deleting add-ins and stuff. But it won't work out. Regards, Aday
