it's already after midnight, but I did that and boom ... everything worked (with Safari). The google gears plugin was already installed. The web page showed the correct version and even the Google Gears Setting window showed the correct stuff. Now, I at least know that my current profile is kinda crappy and half dead or so. Do we have the possibility to investigate what's the difference between the two profiles and why it is working with the new one but not with the old one? What about randomly deleting some *.plist files? Could this help? Just kiddin' My current profile is approx. 2 years old and from my first mac installation. Since then it survived several reinstallation and account movings.
