opening safari offline has me sign in to google docs and shows i'm
offline.
the next page is the generic google docs page, then on the upper line:
"settings" "offline help" "help" then the red "Loading. . ." that only
goes away once the connection is restored.

it seems a little variable, as repeating this a couple of times gives
different results. sometimes my docs show on the left and i can access
a partial form of the word or excel file. when i'm not connected,
though, it never gives me the full document.

[firefox has me sign on, and then takes me to my google docs
correctly.]
